    looks like he is splitting the easy dry straight grain wood , that is easy not some more challenging wood

    First time I have seen it. They are easy to find many shops selling them. The look like they run about $200 to $250.

    I have never seen one, but I can tell you when the force of an axe is diverted sideways it makes for an uncomfortable and potentially dangerous moment.

    It looks like it would be more trouble and effort than its worth , kind of gimmicky . A buddy of mine has one of the tall ” guillotine ” type wood splitters , it works pretty well .
