I’m happy to be flying less these days!
FBI: Hacker claimed to have taken over flight’s engine controlsMay 18, 2015 at 12:13 am #41115
The best way to start getting a handle on hackers is to give them the death penalty , or 20 to life , when they endanger lives with a hack . Public hangings worked .May 18, 2015 at 1:35 pm #41129
I would hack the entertainment systems to force people to watch newsmax TV or something. Haha!
On a more serious note, we must consider anything that has or is connected to a network of some kind to be explicitly vulnerable, and all other electronics potentially vulnerable.May 19, 2015 at 3:30 am #41156
Countdown to Zero Day. Thanks to Zero giving up U.S. Control of the net.May 19, 2015 at 9:16 am #41170
Tolik, The death penalty? The Boston Bomber received the death penalty and he probably will never be put to death. If he committed his crime in Texas about 10 years from now they would kill him. This country absolutely sucks when it comes to efforcing punishment on the worst case criminals.May 19, 2015 at 11:57 am #41171
The real question is now that the airlines know it can be done, what are they going to do about it?May 19, 2015 at 1:49 pm #41172
Probably confiscate laptops ………………..remember , we dont fix things , we just make thing more miserable for the public . After 9/11 it would have been a simple matter for manufacturers to isolate the cockpit from the rest of the aircraft , complete with an outside only entrance , and its own restroom ………..biggest problem solved .May 19, 2015 at 3:05 pm #41173
Tolik: Your common sense would just confuse them. Remember this is the same group that spent millions to develop a pen that could write in zero gravity. Russian solution: Use a pencil.
Watching the airline industry destroy themselves is amazing. Won’t seize laptops, because business travelers are their bread and butter. If your not a business traveler, your just a seat filler that can be squeezed for as much cash as possible. Customer service is nonexistent.
