Here is an Article about how Cubans in Cuba are now openly celebrating Christmas since Fidel Castro soon after he came to power in the Cuban Revolution in 1959 eliminated Christmas and declared Cuba an atheist state. Communist think they can eliminate our minds! It doesn’t work.
In the article they say it was a gift of Obama, I say what are they talking about!
Pope John Paul II restored Christmas in 1998 after a landmark visit, which now can be celebrated out in the open, but what the article doesn’t talk about is that the Cuban people were always celebrating Christmas behind closed doors were no one can see because communism can’t stop that.
I find this article very interesting because of what is happening now in America, many groups want to end Christmas and Christian values well they will never be able to win that war. Merry Christmas and God Bless You.December 25, 2014 at 8:04 pm #32883
People find a way , as many know , my girl grew up in the Soviet Union . You could go to prison for practicing a faith . One of the reasons why New Years is such a huge holiday in the Russian community is that eveything that was a Christmas tradition , was practiced in the disguise of celebrating ” New Year “. They also did it “underground ” in private . Now that Communism is dead there , everything is in the open and in full force , now its a crime to defile religious symbols . Ironic .December 26, 2014 at 2:28 am #32894
Which particular book of Bible details Christmas date, or at least a season? Why December 25th, and not, say, May 1st?
All those people/nations had already betrayed their original beliefs once through accepting Christianity back in a day, them/they (or their descendants) will do the betrayal again and again…December 26, 2014 at 3:07 am #32895
Vadim, Are you the communist lover? The one that doesn’t believe in Christ? I think so.December 26, 2014 at 5:14 am #32898
Actually he has a point , they are pretty sure Jesus was born in the summer . The church decided to make the celebration in December in order to counter a pagan holiday of the time . Think of it like presidents day , neither president was born on that day , but that is when we decide to celebrate it . Germany surrendered officially on May 8th , but the Soviet Union decided to have the official celebrations observed on the 9th , I could go on , but in the end , what difference does it make ? it doesnt . Its not a betrayal , its a celebration by choice , the bible also doesnt require us to celebrate it at all , no reason why we shouldnt either . Where is the betrayal ?December 26, 2014 at 6:00 am #32901
yea jesus was born in summer and 25 december is the start of the dark days (i dont know for sure) in the ancient egyptian calender when isis, horus, osiris and other two were born
horus, osiris, and set were all kings of heaven
and the communist was agaist all religionDecember 26, 2014 at 12:27 pm #32906
They’ll never stamp out Jesus Christ or the celebration of his birth!!December 26, 2014 at 2:14 pm #32907
technically both communism and capitalism hand the same goal , to create a utopian society where every one is equalDecember 26, 2014 at 4:22 pm #32910
pokeranger, I don’t agree with your statement “technically both communism and capitalism hand the same goal , to create a utopian society where every one is equal”
Communism is a hard line dictatorship that only has the communist make and have wealth by taking the wealth of others. Communism there is no freedom to build your own business. The communist government owns every business and homes, the people are not able to own anything. In write Communism it says that there goal is everyone will be equal, that in reality is not true in all Communist countries. The Communist live a life of the elite rich eating the best foods, owning the best cars, homes and taking control of all the businesses that others built.
I know this for a fact, my grandfather and father had to give there business in Cuba to the government, there house too! Then they asked for everyone to turn in the jewelry, and gold and silver for the better good of the communist revolution. There is nothing equal about that.
Now lets talk about capitalism. It is not perfect system but the people that work hard and have an idea can with time build a business as I did and my father did. I know this for a fact! My father came to America with one dollar and was able to build many businesses. He owns his own house, two cars. He is able to buy all the food he like to eat, he has health care and a retirement plan. I also own my own home. I have the freedom to buy whatever I want. I also have the freedom to write this and tell you what I believe in and not be put in jail. Capitalism is a way to be able to do and make all that you want if you have the right ideas, have goals, work hard then you will make it in Capitalism. No were in Capitalism does it say that it will make everyone equal, no were. If you know of any Capitalism book that says this please post it because I want to know who wrote it.
Now Communism books do say that everyone will be equal which is a lie!! That is only one place were everyone will be equal. Heaven! God is the only way to equality for all.December 26, 2014 at 6:12 pm #32916
As i said both communism and capitalism HAD the same goal but they were diverted from it, by eliminating religion communist tried to make christian, jews, muslims and hindus equal and giving all of them the same economic rights..
yes communist govts are very bureaucratic and a pain in the ass but the original proposition was to create a equal society and the aspirations of the people were not realised. but i have seen religious violence first hand in india, neighbors and friends killing each other so forget about strangers.
and before 1991 life was hard in india as well as it was a pro communist country. the only medium of long distance travelling was train. people didnt have car then because there was two or three car makers and the prices was super high.
i am not saying communism is good but it eliminated religion which could have saved the lifes of thousand of people died in partition, 2002 riots , demolition of babri mosque , and violence against sikh after the assassination of indra gandhi and after 9/11 the violence against muslims was also high in india as wellDecember 26, 2014 at 8:56 pm #32920
pokeranger, I understand you but you are wrong, communism can’t eliminate religion. Did it eliminate religion in Russia? No Did it eliminate religion in Poland? No Did it eliminate religion in Cuba? No In fact I have not found one county that communism was able to eliminate religion.
India like Cuba has had dictators of some type and I do understand that religion may create bad wars and violence, this has been going on since the beginning of time. No solution to that problem since we can’t take control of the mind. Man will always have war between each other.
But I would take Capitalism over every other system in the world. It is the only system that gives you the change your life by being free to work hard and building a business on your own.
Remember that I am talking about Capitalism here in the U. S. because many countries including India have a system of part Capitalism but it is not all there system is Capitalism.
Here we are starting to have a mix Capitalism/Socialism which has slowed down growth of the economy.December 27, 2014 at 12:32 am #32925
The goal of capitalism and democracy is to provide equal opportunity, not equal results. It is not perfect by any measure but nothing else has afforded as much class mobility as capitalistic/democratic systems have. As concerns religion, communism has been able to suppress religion but as freedom has pointed out, it hasn’t been able to eliminate it. Capitalistic systems have sometimes chosen to embrace religion and sometimes ignore religion but they’ve known better than to try and eliminate it.
pokeranger, yes religion has been the source of much warfare and strife throughout history but it has also been a primary source of bringing about order and civilization itself. I think overall it has been more positive for more people than not.December 27, 2014 at 12:43 am #32928
Well said MountainBiker.December 27, 2014 at 4:36 am #32933
yeha religion has a positive effect but you guys dont see religion as openly as in india, in some parts of india if a guy says anything bad of anothers religion then fight is ensures. thankfully i dont stay in those areas , there are guys who hold their religion too close to their heart.. there are some repots from central india where people are forced to change their religion from christian to hindus and these are done by RSS which is a hindu party and the NDA is ignoring this because RSS helped them to win the electionDecember 27, 2014 at 4:54 am #32934
Thats why those that wrote the Constitution felt it important , no …critical to include freedom of religion . They understood the evil of men corrupted . Tho in their time , it was directed at the catholic church that committed evil all over Europe , they did not want that happening here .
