Thats how it is when things get worse…May 12, 2016 at 11:49 am #48728
You usual hear of such things during times of war, not peace. Assuming some semblance of normalcy returns to Venezuela I wonder if the people will have learned anything in terms of setting aside extra food and supplies. It doesn’t seem that most ever do learn anything.May 12, 2016 at 6:11 pm #48732
This is Socialism which is dictatorship at it best. Use food to control the people. Now everyone is thinking were do I get food to eat today and tomorrow. They are now thinking of how to take down the government since there is no time for that. Food = control Socialism, communism, dictatorship it is all the same and have the same goals, control of the people and government.May 13, 2016 at 4:07 am #48734
Don’t worry. After the people become extinct the dogs will still be there.May 15, 2016 at 9:20 am #48742
The most predictable thing about food scarcity to control the population is that it will create a slave class. Blacks and Mexiconos…. Cleaners, shovelers of humanure, garbage pickers, who live in favelas. In Brazil they tried that democracy thing and know it’s like an army of ants eating everything in its path.

Truthfully I believe all froms government grow beyond sustainable size and collapse the encapsulated economy. Money taken from productive segments of the economic cycle and placed in the government loop where money doesn’t create more value or a product overwhelmes the production side of the wealth creation. Govenments are parasitic and kill the host. Spanish Moss is s perfect example, it looks so pretty but kills the magnificent tree it grows on.May 15, 2016 at 8:29 pm #48745
Atlas Shrugged endgame in play Venezuela right now. Factory owners to be arrested if they do not reopen idled plants. Bourgeois being blamed for sabotaging the country. Emergency rule in effect.
Produce or else.May 16, 2016 at 8:59 am #48749
“Venezuela has officially run out of money to print new money.”May 17, 2016 at 3:04 am #48771
74,I agree with you. Governments are parasitic. Our founding fathers tried to prevent that, but we the people have allowed it to happen…May 17, 2016 at 4:39 am #48772
So true wildartist.Once upon a time there was slack in the economy. People could take time off. Now we work all the time. The parasitic government demands it. Pay your taxes or we take your house. With the infinite accounting system we are all tagged animals.
What bothers me though about Venezuela is the zika virus. With the breakdown of the economy we want to blame someone. What if it’s an economy pushed to the breaking point by other factors. There are no ways to measure the effects of a virus like zika on so many people.
The first thing that breaks down is the medical system. They can’t get food or drugs. And then the government falls apart.
Just a bug to brain conspiracy theory. A scary one. It will follow the bell curve. No way it’s reached peak yet.May 17, 2016 at 8:28 am #48773
What we are seeing is just the beginning of the end in Venezuela. Those poor people are going to endor the worst human suffering.
Just imagine the dominos fall and the same scenario happens in Greece, then Spain, Italy, the rest of the EU, then the US..
