    Story encouraged me to review my travel bag/get home bag. And communications when cell phone towers are not functioning. My wife and I enjoy traveling and best to have SHTF plan in mind…know alternative routes of travel out of the city.

    The terrorist attack and the 15 years of socialism?

    The first can happen anywhere, the latter wherever socialism has degraded the country and infrastructure.

    Between the Feds trying to kill the coal industry and the general public fighting any kind of energy infrastructure project (NIMBY folks and so-called environmentalists), blackouts will be coming to a city near you soon enough.

    hmmm in this situation solar panel +battery + 12v dc LED… will relieve inconvinient from the dark
    200w solar panel + 200AH battery + battery charger ( charge battery bank from the grid when electricity is on ) + 1000 watt inverter… will save the day
    we can turn on the light, barber shop tool, cahsier machine, laptop, 35-100 w cooling fan ( AC are not possible because it need more than 5 KWH of battery bank )
