I just mentioned this in a thread started by Tsar and I didn’t see this discussed here yet. These wheat bars are used by the Norwegian army and also to a certain extent by the German army. They are very popular in European survival forums. They are really cheap to buy as well (on ebay for example).

BP-5 Compact Food (also known as a BP-5 biscuit) is a high-calorie, vitamin fortified, compact, compressed and dry food, often used by relief agencies for the emergency feeding of refugees and internally displaced persons.

What might be interesting are the vitamins that are added to the bars.

The NRG-5 corresponds to the composition as the original BP-5 emergency rations.
