Interesting, to whom it is necessary to turn, for news. “Return” the farms … to non-farmers! And Russia and Oz are “racist” for allowing some Whites to survive? Says a lot about the general mood of that nation. And the silence of Western MSM says a lot about theirs.

Much like the two California option, where “conservative” western Cali is turned into a native controlled buffer zone between the leftist area of the coast and the rest of the Trump nation.
The call to steal property legally owned and give it to those who have no legal right or ownership of the property.
Long ago I pointed to South Africa and Rhodesia as examples of the future, today we see that lunacy in our own country. The parallels are disturbing.
Our media won’t cover SA, Zim, Venezuaela, or the other failures in Communism/Socialism because its too critical and introspective of what they want.August 14, 2018 at 5:56 am #70788
Morning all. So to use the analogy of the frog in the pot of water, I would say it is safe to say that currently a bead of sweat is starting to form on his brow, but it is still so nice in the water… Things are definitely heating up and yet there are still people that refuse to even acknowledge the potential for a big collapse/economic implosion.
A couple of weeks ago the cANCer said that it had identified 139 farms targeted for expropriation. This past weekend a list of nearly 200 farms was leaked to the media by AfriForum, claiming this to be the list and claiming that it came from a confidential informant. Yesterday the Minister of Rural Development and Land Reform said the list is not real/true. The irony in this is that they themselves have then identified 139 farms, so obviously there must be some list going around. Seems to be a classic case of “we can neither confirm, nor deny” and in saying so little, they are actually saying a lot.
The other thing now, if they are saying that the list is false and they target even one of the farms on this list, it would be logical to assume that the rest will follow and if I was one of those farm owners I would be very wary.

Good to hear from you P1lgr1m, been too quiet from down there.
Between the land grab and the gun grab its rapidly headed down the rabbit hole.
“South Africa is opening the door for tyranny,” José Niño writes in Gunpowder Magazine. “The
Constitutional Court of South Africa recently ruled that 300,000 gun owners must turn in their
firearms.” That overturned a lower court decision ruling sections of South African gun laws
unconstitutional. And that means gun owners who “failed” to register are now required by
“law” to surrender their firearms to the authorities.
Such a requirement could not come at a more dangerous time. Not only is land being taken from
whites, the political sentiment and rhetoric in the country is heating up to the point of
“We are cutting the throat of whiteness,” Marxist/racist Economic Freedom Fighters leader Jacob
Malema told a cheering crowd in a packed Johannesburg arena. He demanded removal of a mayor
because he is white and declared, “Angry white people can go to hell.”
“We are not calling for the slaughtering of white people, at least for now,” Malema declared
ominously. That leaves, “when we think we can” open.”
Last I heard, the Boers were outnumbered 11:1 at best. Which means that no matter what, there will never again be a fair election in ZA. Its a democracy after all.
Keep your powder dry and handy.
With 50+ people getting murdered a day, its already ugly down there.August 14, 2018 at 7:16 pm #70790
It is truly a mess, but at least GOSA (Gun Owners of South Africa) has managed to put a stop to this whole expired license nonsense for now. They have been doing some extraordinary work for firearm owners here. http://www.gosaonline.co.za/categories-1-layout/item/340-so-what-is-this-court-case-about-really
Some licensed firearm owners had legitimate reasons for not renewing in time, but the police chose to adopt a dictator attitude. Our FCA (Firearms Control Act) states that a license must be renewed at least 90 days before it expires, some of the DFO’s (Dedicated Firearms Officer) took this as a literal 90 days, no more and no less. If your 90 days fell on a weekend they just said tough luck. Plenty of owners tried to renew earlier, knowing that they would not able to closer to the time, some with success and others not. Some also went in after the 90 days with the same results, both positive and negative. It seems as if though our police received an order from higher up to make it as difficult as possible for renewals. Like I said, it went both ways with no clear standard interpretation of the FCA, although I don’t really think there is anything unclear in the Act, they made it one huge mess. Now did this happen through sheer arrogance and with an agenda, or just through incompetence, is anyone’s guess.

You wouldn’t have heard anything from/about Leopard would you?
Got some information from her on the side a while back that has me concerned with her long absence.August 15, 2018 at 4:52 am #70794
Whirlibird, no sorry. Only spoke to her here on the forum. Is everything ok with her?August 15, 2018 at 10:13 am #70795
She had alluded to something in a PM but no full story.
Since then,it has gone quiet from that direction. You had also gone silent during this period, so it was a lot of guessing going on.August 15, 2018 at 1:47 pm #70796
“You shouldn’t own more than 12 000 hectares of land and therefore if you own more, it should be taken without compensation,”August 15, 2018 at 3:17 pm #70797
P1LGR1M, thanks for checking in. It’s been frustrating not being able to find out about any of you down there and a few other locations. We also had an active Greek member of the Forum for a while, but he’s dropped off the radar as well. I had some private communication with him, but don’t even get a response to his personal email anymore. There’s little to nothing people can do from halfway around the world, but that doesn’t mean no one cares or that you’re forgotten. When you’re able, at least a few of us still monitoring the Forum would appreciate updates. It would be nice to somehow learn that all of you (the participants here) had gotten out safely and with more than just the shirts on your backs. Very best wishes to all of you.August 21, 2018 at 4:14 am #70800
Nothing surprising here, just a graphic reminder that what’s distant news to many of us, is horrendously personal news to others. It’s happening:
Says one clearly intelligent comment:
What difference does the value of the land make. It is now worth NOTHING since the new owners either cannot or will not efficiently work these seized farms. This like ALL government seizures will be the total downfall of this nation. The individuals running nation are grossly incompetent and in the end will revert to civil war and ruin.
The Liberal West will then insist that WE must intervene to rescue the poor citizens of this “failed” State. Governments run by criminals and radical liberals (same thing) ALWAYS fail over and over but the media and the left NEVER acknowledge the fatal flaws in their system of governance.
Instead the morons on the left in the US are trying to sell this soap to Americans as the CURE for our terrible nations “unequal” wealth distribution. Same B.S. different country. Instead of farms Sen. Warren wants to seize large corporations and turn them over to “workers.” Shades of Joseph Stalin ??
Turning the words back at Peter Paul and Mary, “When will they ever learn? When will they ever learn?”August 23, 2018 at 6:55 pm #70807
[The “edit bug” trashed the following. Thankfully I’ve learned to use the copy function before editing anything here.]
(Disclosure notice: The following is submitted with blatant sarcasm fully intended.)
CORRECTION: There is no crisis in South Africa, nobody’s getting killed over their farm land, and there’s nothing out of the ordinary going on. Reading the following story confirms all that, thanks to NBC News:
Instead, if you read down far enough, you come upon the real, current state of affairs – everything is just plain normal in South Africa. Says the former (Obama appointed) Ambassador to SA and former Executive Director of the Democratic National Committee and former acting director of SEIU International during their successful effort to help the Democrats win majorities in the House and Senate):
The president of the U.S. needs political distractions to turn our gaze away from his criminal cabal, and so he’s attacking South Africa with the disproven racial myth of ‘large scale killings of farmers.’
And NBC further reports:
For years, a small but vocal group of white South Africans have claimed white farmers are the target of violent, racially motivated farm attacks. However, experts say that the attacks are in line with the country’s high murder rate and that there is no evidence connecting them to victims’ race.
So. There you have it. Nothing out of the ordinary in SA. Wonderful place to live. In fact, that’s particularly true if you’re white:
“Whites are less likely to be murdered than any other race group.”
Thank you, NBC News, for making that explicitly clear.
[SARC/off – but probably not for long….]
