It is not easy to up and leave, and for many, perhaps most, leaving would mean a lower standard of living in material terms. Concerning SA it comes down to whether you believe things will continue to get worse to the point that a true race war will begin, and if so, do you think the white minority will be able to protect themselves. I know it is easy for me to say half a world away, but the US is chock full of immigrants, and most of us here have known a number of them. Some, like freedom, are immigrants themselves. Almost invariably the children of those immigrants are far better off than would been the case had they not come. Some of the immigrants themselves prosper too, but realistically many don’t due to language barriers, lack of education, or inability to acculturate fully. Most white South Africans aren’t going to have those impediments. In the end though each person’s situation is different and everyone must make the choices they think best for themselves and their families. Please know that any of the thoughts I shared on this topic have been out of concern for the future of white South Africans.

Throughout history that is how things often begin. With the white population being only in the single digits percent-wise, it is hard to imagine much more than short term defensive tactics and a rear guard action intended to let as many escape the country as can occur. Banding together and thinking through defense options is good but ultimately it is a war that whites cannot win. Other countries may aid evacuation but I wouldn’t count on much more. Those with passports and any kind of entry visa to someplace else may have an easier time of it, but if I were there I would think long and hard about what my exit options might be. I hope it doesn’t come to this but it is prudent to entertain the thought.

I am one of those who has no intention of running away from barbarity, so I can’t agree with you there (your end remarks). But I do agree with you that the likelihood – merely in my humble opinion like yours – is that when things do erupt they will erupt all of a sudden, sparked by some mundane or not-very-spectacular “provocation”, and no-one will see the moment coming.

MB, I also think war is around the corner for them. They all need to know where they will go even if they fight. The exit option is needed.

Many will leave, but there are many of us who have no intention whatsoever of fighting just for the sake of a rearguard to facilitate a flight. Only our God knows what will happen to us in the end, but – certainly for now – many of us are committed to staying. We are planning to stay and preparing to remain.

Me and my family dont have that luxury. We are not rich and dont have a lot of property to sell to gain enough money to move. I also cannot in my good conscious leave by myself and leave my family here to suffer the storm. If all the crap does go down im going to be with my family through all of it.

Selling absolutely everything and leaving takes a lot courage, that we just don’t have unfortunately…

God bless you. That is the spirit of solidarity which is so sorely lacking amongst us. I am not a gun fanatic, or a grensvagter (I did serve, but you know what I mean by “gee-vee”), so I joined these forums solely to try to find like-minded people for what is inevitably headed our way. Ex Unitate Vires, Eendrag Maak Mag. Let me know privately if at any time you’d like to maintain contact. I am BY NO MEANS an arch-prepper, so I don’t offer that sort of support… I am just an ordinary oke seeking friends for what now promises to be a sooner-rather-than-later crisis.
Are you on SBs? There is a little kernel of us who are not necessarily Siener van Rensburg disciples or Suidlanders, but who are starting (just starting) to look at ways and means of acquiring BOLs in E.C. (Siener’s famous “safest region” during the massacres). The discussions can get a bit heated, but the guys tend to be open-eyed about what is cooking, and numerous of their calculated predictions have come true. At present there is a consensus that the imminent Opening of Parliament/State of the Nation Address and Budget Speech have groot kak in store for us. There is also some intelligent discussion of our impending water crisis, which one or two of the guys seem to think poses a far greater threat than today’s Stage 2 national electricity blackout. How was that for you, by the way?
