    Short, but interesting article. We get a number of various service disruptions here in the North due to solar activity, but it rarely makes the news ;)

    All communications, to one degree or another, are effected by solar flare, storms and CME’s. Simple things like water meters and gas meters. Since some actually broadcast information back to a gathering point any disruption will play havoc with them.

    And as has been noted before, even large sections of the grid can be taken down (pretty much all of Quebec in 1989, for example). Not only that, the source of global warming and climate change has now been conclusively verified (see attachment).
