For those not following the Boko Haram story closely, there’s an interesting ‘fact’ that few have publicized until
Much of the Nigerian Army’s success appears to be preceded by South African mercenaries.
Col. Eeben Barlow former SADF commander, was brought aboard to help ‘train’ the Nigerian army.
Barlow’s new company is Specialized Tasks, Training, Equipment and Protection (STTEP). It is thought to have sent about100 men to Nigeria, including black troopers who previously served in elite South African units. Others fought as guerrillas against the SADF.
Ever wonder what happened to the “Selous Scouts” post 1992? Note that many of the Scouts were turned Terrs.
For those who may or may not remember the name “Barlow”, he was one of the founders of “Executive Outcomes”.
Three things come to mind.
First, this will not end well for the Bozos.
Second a Shakespeare quote: “Cry “Havoc!” and let slip the dogs of war,”
And thirdly, I keep visualizing a glass case with a bunch of grizzled grey haired men, dirty and scarred inside.
A simple sign hangs on the outside, “In case of emergency, break glass”May 14, 2015 at 5:19 pm #41068
May the Nigerians be ‘fast and accurate,’ and pestilence and chaos on Boka Haram.

Lack of attention to the past brings dark times for the present. Africa has been boiling since the early 1980s. Failure by nations only added to the mess.
There is always hope.
But in the end it is always SSDD (Same Sh** Different Day)
