Welcome! Please introduce yourself? (Name, age, gender, location for example)
Hi we are a family, 26, 25 and 2 years of age, Resident in ireland.
Since when are you into survival and preparedness and what made you get into it?
We became prepper after the 9/11 tragedy and realised how much we as a society rely on our government and how unprepared we are when it comes to any disaster.
Why is survival and preparedness important or interesting for you? What scenario are you preparing for?
We love basic camping, outdoors and a basic lifestyle such as the pioneers from the past. We would love to regain the lost knowledge of our ancestors and how they survived without the use of technology we have today. We are preparing for an economical collapse and possible ww3.
How would you describe your prepping / survival philosophy? What matters for you?
My husband has been watching bush tucker man since he was a kid and have always been fascinated with the bush crafts and the knowledge they have, We are always watching programs regarding survival such as Ray Mears, Dual survival, yukon men, Dave Canterbury, Alaskas last frontier and we are regaining a lot of lost knowledge from a simpler life of pioneers. We also camp regularly without the use of electricity and rely on our wits to survive should the time arose. We have also gathered various survival equipment and gear through the years and stocked up on long shelf life products. We grow our own veg and hope to be self sufficient in the near future. In the next few months we will be opening a army surplus store, online with much more affordable gear and equipment than most stores online and that are in Ireland. Everyone deserves a chance to survive and thrive and we are hoping to make that happen.
Do you have some favorite quotes or words of wisdom you like?
Survival is more than a state of mind. it must come from the heart, Never give up!
You are dying and have 30 seconds left, what do you do or say?
My husband says – In the geat words of kernel saunders, “Im too drunk to taste this chicken lol” Well I guess when I’m dying I will be thinking of all the good memoriesSeptember 11, 2014 at 5:41 pm #24643

Welcome campandpreppioneers from Ireland…
“campandpreppioneers from Ireland” is too long… I’m just gonna call you Irish, if that’s okay?
Nice to hear about your upcoming business… one thing that would be nice to see is the windproof smock. Most don’t know how to use one properly, and Americans all want Gore-Tex (which has it’s place, but so does the smock) with liners, etc…
Anyways, good to have y’all…

C&PP – welcome aboard! Sounds like you are well on your way to self sufficiency. There’s nothing more valuable than actually DOING it! Please post your projects and what you learn along the way for the rest of us who aren’t quite prepared to start shutting off the power for more than a few hours at a time.
Look forward to your input – K
Arms discourage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as well as property... mischief would ensue were the law-abiding deprived of the use of them.
