Malgus, the same goes for gun laws they are only for the good people. Criminals don’t buy guns in gun stores.June 18, 2014 at 1:52 am #16877
some link about this man profile :
some keyword ( interesting because this keyword are directing to prepper ):
1. unregistered destructive devices
2. end-of-times plan
3. prepper ( or doomsday prepper )
5. making false statements
6. 130-foot flagpole
interesting script :
Winters and the River Otter Preppers “are preparing for an end-of-times event as prophesied by the Book of Revelations in the Bible which he believes will occur in the near future,” the affidavit states, “which will require individuals to rely on themselves for food and protection from other individuals and the federal government.”
hmmm… news want to portray preppers as religious fanatics and “dangerous” for other people ( and gov ) ?
another script :
In 2011, Winters was featured in a Tampa Bay Times story about a 130-foot flagpole he had erected on his 10-acre Valrico homestead
another try to make public perception that “patriot” is a bad guy ?
This sentence are clearly targetting him :
“But the federal warrant cites evidence that Winters was building small explosives, booby-trap devices, and teaching others how to build them too. And that, they say, is what led to today’s raid on Winters’ home along Williams Boulevard”June 18, 2014 at 2:28 am #16883
If he was making small explosives then that is a problem, but in the news I have not seen or there has not been any reports that the FBI found these explosives. So we will see. The problem is that there is many types of people prepping for end of times or other reasons.
The media and government always wants to put all preppers in the same category.
I am a prepper because I believe there will be an economical collapse coming soon and it may bring civil unrest because the dollar will not buy much. Why well all you need is to look at the National debt. Numbers don’t lie! You know 2 + 2 = 4 not 5 or 3 like the government wants you to think. Numbers is my game, they never lie.June 18, 2014 at 6:00 am #16886
Gents, he was not only making the boobytraps but sold them to a UC. The manufacture of firearms for personal use is legal, but you can’t sell them, and you cannot make destructive devices, which these were.
Secondly, others in the group conspired to violate federal firearm laws. For petes sake, one put it on facebook, how dumb do you have to be? How hard do you have to work at it to get arrested.
They were buying AR’s five at a time and intentionally sold them to someone they knew couldn’t possess firearms. Sometimes criminals do buy their guns at a gun store.
Guys, its idiots like this that make all patriots and preppers look bad.
Sometimes there is no conspiracy from the .gov, sometimes it follows the old LE saying, we only catch the dumb ones.June 18, 2014 at 1:13 pm #16903
Whirlibird, Agree with you on this one since the facts are coming out it is clear that they were doing illegal things. There will always be a bad apple in every group, so in this group there maybe two or three bad apples that give a bad name to the rest of there group.June 25, 2014 at 4:03 am #17233
It sounds like another case of DD (doomsday dementia). Spreads like the flu … or they would be cracking down so violently now.
