I realize that oil prices reflect supply and demand and I don’t know how much of the falling prices is coming from supply vs demand, but to the extent it is demand, it is a reflection of a slowing world economy. In the Northern hemisphere it is still peak vacation season which usually increases demand.

The oil companies have closed down two oil refineries so even tho oil is going down the street price is not. Are they do this to keep prices higher?

Being an oil supported community, I hear a lot about this sort of stuff.
Had a great conversation last night with a gent in the industry about coal, propane and solar/wind power.
