Thanks Leopard & Whirli. I’ve been able to catch up on the music postings. My son was able to restore the sound when he came for Christmas. Not sure what the problem was. It is nice having my own personal tech department.
I do like the passion that the SA singers have for their land, though it does make the current situation in SA all the sadder.May 8, 2015 at 10:42 pm #40831

Drown out the noise – You become still – I know you will find your way home You are the ocean You are the sand Make all your plans

Leopard, I just listened to a bunch of Bok Van Blerk songs on You Tube again. Just was in the mood. I don’t understand a word he is saying but I feel the power and emotion, and of course the videos tell the story. In my mind he captures the spirit of the Afrikaners that some of the South Africans here have expressed in various posts. I am not aware of any American who does patriotic songs with such power and emotion. He really does an excellent job of honoring the history of the Afrikaners. I think I am going to buy a couple of his cd’s to take with me when I’m on the road. I find them uplifting.October 7, 2015 at 4:08 pm #44312
I am glad you enjoy Bok’s music. Here is some African music. A video with real Bushmen singing. I like Bushmen alot and has been working with them lately – learning from them mostly http://www.sapeople.com/2015/10/06/south-african-san-bushmen-singing-video/ SAN videoOctober 7, 2015 at 8:43 pm #44319
