Good find, WB. Anyone who thinks Marxism is dead, simply has his or her head in the sand. But the steam roller rolls on. Ignore the rumbling sound at one’s own risk. And as I’ve said many times here and elsewhere, this isn’t Soviet communism, Chinese communism, Cuban communism. Marxism is an entirely different animal, and far more dangerous – and serious. The Manifesto was published 170 years ago, and is clearly still the centerpiece of their ideology. Anyone questioning the claims by those who know, concerning the violence and totalitarian nature of this best, need only read this one paragraph from the article:
There is no better occasion than the centenary of the Russian Revolution to redouble our efforts for the cause of socialism. Far from being ashamed of our revolutionary credentials, we are proud to stand on the shoulders of Marx, Engels, Lenin, Trotsky, and the countless other revolutionary heroes of our class from around the world. … We embrace the legacy of Bolshevism and reject those who caricature its accomplishments and organizational forms.
Another useful thing these folks did was remind anyone who’s reading of what the fake news media is NOT telling the public. The MSM are equating the (note upper case) Democratic Socialists of America with a simple blending of democracy and socialist thought, and “explaining” to their stupid viewers that Ocasio-Cortez is merely a Democrat who’s further left than some others in the Party, never explaining that the Democratic Socialists of America is a formal, very real organization, and not too many years ago their web site actually published a list of which members of Congress were ALSO members of the DSA. I used to have that on my hard drive, but had a major crash a couple of years ago, and didn’t recover everything. This list was full of very recognizable names, some of whom are still in Congress today.
Note that Socialism and Marxism both exist in the title of this article. When the leftists say “socialism” you can’t hear the upper case “S” – but it’s there. It’s interchangeable with “Marxism.” In a related article on the web site, they make it clear – a takeover of the Democratic Party and the defeat of capitalism are the stated goals. They reject the party of Clinton, Pelosi and Obama by specific names:
“Anyone but Trump” is lesser evilism by another name. A break from the failed policies of the past is long overdue. In Dante’s Inferno, the words “Abandon All Hope, Ye Who Enter Here” are engraved above the Gates of Hell. The same can be said of the Democratic Party. “For or against” a decisive break from the party of the Clintons, Obamas, and Pelosis is a litmus test and line in the sand for the left. Neither capitalism nor the two-party system can be reformed—they must be rendered obsolete by the working class fighting for revolution through a mass socialist party. … [T]he party of the Clintons, Obamas, and Pelosis is a litmus test and line in the sand for the left.July 26, 2018 at 5:33 pm #70736
Strong recommendation: If you’re interested in NOT being tracked by these folks, use startpage.com as your search engine and copy and paste WB’s link into the search bar. Then on the SECOND line of the link to that article, click the word “Proxy.” You will be taken to the site with zero tracking. That web site uses tracking cookies, as well as other tracking devices (as you will notice when you use the anonymous proxy connection, as evidenced by the little missing pieces of information on the site). You can then anonymously click through any of the links on the site and see what else is there if you choose. Your evidence of that is what shows up in the URL bar when you click on a link. It will go to a page that looks something like this:
That’s Startpage’s own link to the page without passing along any identifying information of any sort – including your IP address, which is otherwise immediately available to the Marxist website if you just click the first line of the search engine link, or if you use Google.July 28, 2018 at 11:36 pm #70741
SMH, as the modern shortcut goes! The Capitalist says (in effect) “If you’ll do business with me, I can improve your life with more and better products and services than you currently have, and by working and trading with each other, we’ll all become wealthier than we currently are..
“Evil, evil!” says the Marxist. “Some of you will do very well, but you won’t be able to keep everyone equal. Some of you will become wealthier than others, and that’s just wrong!. The only fair way to do it is to make everyone a slave to the State. You might not become as prosperous, but at least, you’ll all be equal!”
The undertaker turns to the gravedigger and says, “True equality is only found in the graveyard.” The gravedigger nods, and smiles knowingly.

Even then , your not equal , some have wonderful monuments , other are just covered up where they drop …….no marker , no anything to tell the world they ever existed . Kind of like the slave labor building Stalins road of bones .July 29, 2018 at 4:51 am #70743
Hard to determine whether that matters to the dead.

Ever notice that the California state flag has a RED STAR in the corner ? Coincidence ?August 15, 2018 at 1:15 am #70792
Considering who designed it, and when, probably no direct relationship to the commies in the current State government, but they probably like it, anyway.

On the road to Carácas …..
Since we are embroiled in an unending psywar, I went searching for knowledgeable articles about psyops, i.e., the basic structure, what comes first, etc., the better to recognize not only THAT one is being run, but to identify it sooner, rather than later, better understand the objectives, as well as the strategy and tactics, in the hope of avoiding as many snares and pitfalls as possible. I ran across this fascinating piece … from the year after I graduated high school.
Does any of it surprise me? Not exactly, though it is revelatory to realize (a) how much was known, (b) for how long, (c) how little to counter was done by a government ostensibly in opposition, (d) how interrelated and cooperative the “capitalist” west has become with their “communist “opposition, and vice-versa, up to, including, (and perhaps because of) their monetary/banking relationships.

Think about your four summary points. It’s because “they” have been deeply implanted for so long in the very fabric of government. I’ve even wondered if Joe McCarthy was actually a plant in order to LOOK like a raving lunatic in the manner in which he was making his allegations, in order to neutralize support for further investigation and action. That might be totally off the wall, but it certainly would not be something I’d be surprised to see confirmed with history behind us to examine.
Call it shadow government, Deep State, or one of the three terms I use (only two of which I’ve ever use publicly because of where I got them and because of the doctrines in which they’re based – fundamental evil or secret combinations), it doesn’t really matter. Any one of those descriptions makes sense to at least most people, whether they fully (or even partially) believe in such things. And the evidence is so very clear for anyone that will turn off CNN, MSNBC, or even Fox News, and put down the NYT or Washington Post – and then start examining history and current events for themselves. There are fundamentally evil people doing their dead level best to undermine the very threads of the fabric that has been woven into the constitutional Republic. And they’ve succeeded in destroying country after country after country. Look at the reflexive support of Vladimir Putin even within the USSR – ooops – Russia. It makes no sense to us here in this forum, but we’re becoming an increasingly small minority even in this country (speaking of those Forum member in the U.S.). The education systems have done their jobs well, the media has slowly, steadily moved into what it does now (a “wonderful” rendition of Pravda, Izvestia, etc.). And now we’ve got a Congress that is focused on everything destructive to that Republic. Karl would be ecstatic!September 18, 2018 at 6:25 pm #70845
Edited to correct typo:
I once read two books by Guy R. Odom: America’s Man on Horseback, A Fable? (1998) and Mothers, Leadership, and Success (1990). I had heard Mr. Odom being interviewed on a broadcast of the Michael Savage show, and had gone to one of the public appearances Savage had arranged to publicize himself, and featuring several authors, one of whom was Odom, who signed the copies of his books I bought.
The later book, is in the form of his advice to a future leader, somewhat after the manner of Niccolo Machiavelli, writing The Prince, advising a ruler how to govern, in order to retain control. Interestingly, by virtue of how he expected American culture and politics to develop, he expected the unconventional future American ruler (to whom he addresses his advice) to “arise” sometime between 2013, and 2029. (Trump? Unconventional, but maybe not. The demeanor of the guy he described would be a lot more like Allen West.)
His earlier book was based on a long-term study he had begun much earlier, as the CEO of the (then) largest home building company in the nation. He said that the needs of his firm for managerial talent, had made him search for the factors that produce people of dominant character. He was at pains to explain that he did not mean “domineering” people, but rather, those with a strong, developed refusal to lower their (or their company’s) standards. What he discovered, through much research* and personal experience, was that the greatest influence on a person’s character, was the character of the person that had “raised” him/her during the formative, early years. If that person (usually, the mother, though he cited instances when the father, grandparents, aunts. uncles had been the guiding influence) had been one who maintained high standards for completing tasks, diligent study, honest behavior, the child was most likely to grow up with those standards personally ingrained. Those raised by a non-dominant person were most likely to grow up non-dominant themselves, hence, even if employable, not particularly suitable in executive capacity.
Mothers Leadership, and Success chronicled the developmental changes in overall national character for America, from the highly literate, moral, religious, educated, and ambitious Citizens who took on the greatest military power in the world, broke free, and started the Nation, to the degraded average character evident when he published (1990), and predicted the continuing degradation to dependency evident today. He put forth the idea that, since the duration of virtually all great nations (in which they rise to independence, achieve prominence, and ultimately fall back to parity with other nations) is, in almost all cases, about 250 years, that that time period is ten generations, over which, the predominant character of the population undergoes analogous changes. In short, by his reckoning, the American Republic is gone, perhaps to be replaced by an American Empire, a la Rome, but gone, nonetheless. I (sadly) think he was right.
*Odom was (is?) a serious dude. Whee I met him (~1998) he was as old as I am now,. He told me that (since he was independently wealthy, and retired) he had indulged his passion for knowledge by reading no fewer than three serious books per week, on a broad range of topics, since his retirement (at that time, more than a decade prior.)
