I was cleaning out some old email and came across one I sent over 11 years ago to the Boston Police after witnessing an incident that deeply troubled me. I don’t know if anything ever came of it but it does speak to how activist groups are purposely trying to manipulate the news for their purposes. By all appearances this tactic has grown tremendously in the ensuing years reaching to the highest levels of govt.
As an aside it turned out I was staying at the same hotel as Ashcroft and also witnessed what I considered a minor abuse of govt. This was the Custom House which is an iconic location in Boston and one of the symbols of the city. All 4 sides of the building have identical entrances and given it’s downtown location most cars are removed to another location after you check in. They’ll then have your car in their small lot waiting for you when you are scheduled to check out. Lo and behold I come back to the hotel after listening to Ashcroft speak and what do I see but my car on the sidewalk blocking one of the entrances. Of course they made believe there was nothing unusual about putting a guest’s car on the sidewalk blocking off an entrance. They were using my car as a barricade against a car bomber crashing into the building I suppose. I wonder if they’d of bought me a new car had it come to that.
Anyway here is the email that describes how some unknown group was trying to make trouble for the police:
Comments:I didn’t know who to speak to yesterday and am equally unsure who to speak to now but assume this will get to the right place. I was at Fanueil Hall on Monday Sept. 8th when Attorney General John Ashcroft was speaking, a tourist observing for the 1st time ever a political protest. There was a minor scuffle between some protestors and police officers who were moving barricades into a new position and I was right there. Out of concern that those people will try to cause trouble for those officers, I thought I should tell someone what I saw, especially because of what happened after it was all over. The police were very professionally and gently nudging the crowd back so as to put the barricades in place. A group of young people refused to move and started shoving back and next I knew they were hitting the police. The police of course had to protect themselves but they were big guys and it didn’t take much effort to get the barricades where they wanted them. It was quickly over and the officers took no further action. What happened next though is what troubled me and why I’m making contact. Some guy wearing a name tag from a lawyers group and with a 2nd more prominent tag that said “Legal Observer” was immediately there taking statements from the protestors and writing down the badge #’s of the officers. He was feeding the protestors what their statements were and they were just agreeing to it, including things like “major police brutality” and “blood everywhere”. The crowd was shrill and perhaps even rabid in what they were saying but they were peaceful and there weren’t any interactions with the police as far as I could see. Certainly there wasn’t any brutality. I was immediately adjacent to the scuffle and there was not any blood anywhere either. Anyway, I was concerned these people might try to press charges or whatever against the officers involved and wanted you to know that it just didn’t happen the way they might say it did. Sorry for the length of this email and for not knowing who to contactMay 3, 2015 at 1:36 pm #40609
MB, Unfortunately the media doesn’t need a lawyer making things up to run fake stories anymore. The media has become an active participant in creating propaganda.May 3, 2015 at 8:00 pm #40611
Amen to that. Just look at the “news” coverage of the last several elections. Also look at how the moron Dem asked the Naval officer if putting more military might cause Guam to capsize. What about the lack of coverage aboutthe SEIU rigging voting booths. The media has become a huge catalyst for disinformation and pushing socialist agendas.

State run media, every tyrant’s objective. It’s the first thing seized in every coup de ‘etat. Only here in the US they filled the media with political hacks for the last 50 years and told everyone that there is no bias in reporting. A whole lot of people believe them. I’m convinced 50% of the population are legally insane because they can’t discern what is reality and what is not.May 4, 2015 at 12:52 am #40615
The worst part is that they never even disclose the marital or familial connections between senior White House staff and the Executive Suite of the major networks.
