Congratulations Maine! That two of the eight States are in Northern New England makes the contrast with Southern New England all the more pronounced. Do not view us in the same light as the crazies to our South! Hopefully New Hampshire will join us on this.
A question here. Most States recognize the right to carry of the other 7 Constitutional Carry States but according to the attached NRA map, none recognize VT. Why I wonder. We’ve had Constitutional Carry since 1777. Just click on any State and you will see who recognizes other States.
That is very strange !!!!!!! I seems very clear .
here is a link that does recognize Vermont as such , and its also the state that could be considered the “founder” of Constitutional carry , by virtue of always having it .
I think I figured it out. The other Constitutional Carry States issue licenses for use in other States whereas Vermont doesn’t have any licensing mechanism at all. Other States thus don’t have a mechanism to recognize Vermonters as legally being able to carry. The solution thus can be either VT start issuing something for use out-of-state or the Federal govt. start recognizing the 2nd amendment.
I would prefer the latter , but that would be like the cops recognizing the US Constitution , aint holdin me breath .
