    Yes this is true! and the bigger news is that the ones that have gotten jobs the jobs are paying them 20 to 40% less. I know five family members that this has happen. My wife brother is an electrical engineer and in 2008 he was making $68,000 now he is making $35,000. It is the only job he has found. He was out of work for two years.

    freedom, thanks for the link. An important topic to follow when thinking about economic dimension and SHTF. In some ways we’re already in a slower motion SHTF–kind of like the folk metaphor of putting a frog in a kettle of boiling water, it will leap out right away to escape the danger. However, if you put a frog in a kettle that is full of water that is cool and pleasant 
and gradually heat the kettle until it starts boiling,
