It won’t take long for feral dog packs to form either. In rural settings other predators will play a role in keeping their numbers in check, but feral dogs would quickly become part of the ecosystem nonetheless.
chester, I believe the dogs in the cities will go all over the country into farmland and rural areas. They will be so many dogs in the cities let go.

Great idea! I had to do it with the Marines for a week at Mountain Warfare Training Center and it was good training.
We have 2 feet of snow or a little more in places. Its been cold and the snow has compacted near the bottom. Holding together pretty good. If you shovel off the first foot what remains can be cut up to make snow blocks. Its igloo season here.
