i agree with you 100% tolik i took my gun out to a friends house this past week to shoot some sterling’s out of his barn, they didn’t have a chance! and way better then a .22lr no holes in the roof!

I was thinking about buying a pellet gun–it seems like a possible alternative to an actual gun in areas with restrictive gun laws, and also for a person operating on a very low budget.

Tsar unfortunately the days of paying $30-$40 for a pellet gun with enough power to kill much of anything are over. Most pf the multi pump pellet guns you see for under $100 only have a velocity of about 700ish fps. You would have to be very close and not shooting anything bigger than a bird for that to be effective. Now the $100-$200 range does have some decent offerings but I’m not exactly sure what your idea of low budget is.

novus here in the state of Oregon it is illegal to hunt with anything smaller then a .22 caliber which is why i went ahead and bought that for squirrel and rabbit tags my suggestion to ANY ONE is to buy a .22 and dont go bigger or smaller. the .22 has more damage with a slower speed, and is more common to find then the .25 or the .30 calibers! so when shtf you can find ammo practically any where.

Pain – good advice, thanks! Looks like I’ll be saving up a bit. I suppose a .50 cal ammo can could hold a lifetime of ammo…

Arms discourage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as well as property... mischief would ensue were the law-abiding deprived of the use of them.

Good lord that would be a lot of pellets considering 500 will fit in a snuff can.

I would seriously go 50 cal mini ball …. they have rifles that shoot that at over 800 fps.. will take down large game and can be hand pumped or you can have some tanks of air and a compressor.. you cna make 50 cal mini ball from a mold very easy..

namelus i hear they are trying to get a thing passed alowing ex cons to shoot .50 cal pellet guns for deer hunting! but i see no point in this though if they are going to restrict real fire arms they might as well restrict everything.
