I hate to sound like a broken record on this, but I think the financial crisis in Greece is the tipping point for a global financial reset. Now that the media has finally realized that there is a problem going on, I watched dumbfounded as they interviewed American tourists who said they wouldn’t have come to Greece if they had known about the problems there.

With the banks and stock market closed for a week, many Greeks are scrambling to get their 60 Euro’s a day out of the ATM’s. In the weeks leading up to this many had already emptied their accounts.

If Greece does exit the Euro and goes back to the Drachma, the value of the Euro will crater. The Greeks will have a currency that will have little value, but they will have the ability to determine how to reform their economy.

My question is: Is this a good thing or bad thing for the rest of world’s economies?

I just finished reading this news, the dominoes are starting to fall. When Europe starts to fall one country at a time this will end the euro and will hit the U. S. and the World. There will be a World economical collapse coming. I think we are about 12 to 18 months away.

So to answer your question it is NO. If we see another European county exit the euro or collapse then we know that it will be a dominoes. Keep your eyes open for Spain, Italy, Ireland, Portugal to be next.

Now the governor of Puerto Rico has just come out and said, “We can’t pay our debt.” This one is real close to home, and a lot of people own Puerto Rican debt without realizing through their mutual funds. The governor is asking the creditors to forgive some of the debt because his people can’t shoulder anymore pension cuts and higher taxes. Does this sound vaguely familiar?

Free: My guess says Spain or Italy is next.

China’s stock market is crashing as well. I wonder how many bankers will jump out of windows this week?

The Greeks will have a currency that will have little value, but they will have the ability to determine how to reform their economy.

True enough, but I wouldn’t bet on them using that ability to correct their economic problems any time soon, at least, not until they’ve had a determined go at making full-on official socialism “work” (Zimbabwe?) In the short run, socialism “works” for those who are well-positioned and adept at milking the system, until it finally brings even the well-entrenched scamsters to a point where they have nothing left to lose. That usually takes decades of misery, though probably less time when there’s no other source of OPM to spread around.

With most of the world (now including Russia and China) tied into the central bank BS “money” system, the whole mess cannot avoid the consequences of what inevitably happens when a handful of people have official sanction to issue nothing more than their name (paper, free electrons) as “money,” and collect interest on it. Either we all agree that, owing to their superior cunning (and our “mainstream” willful stupidity), they are entitled to own us, because it is mathematically impossible to retire a “debt” that can only be “refinanced” with more of the same bogus “borrowing” — or we tell them to stick their counterfeit $$ where it belongs, and go back to buying, selling, borrowing, and repaying in real values. Given how uncomfortable the need to think makes most people, I expect a few highly combative, poorly planned, ultimately unsuccessful, attempts at the latter, leading to a world-wide reversion to the Dark Ages, with the advantage going to those groups that already prefer to live that way.

The banker scamsters love socialism and what it brings with it. It brings slavery of the governments and it’s people. There debts are so large that they have to work for them(bankers) just to pay the interest on the loans.

This is why Socialism or Communism will never work.

Roadracer, the PR is an island that is all on socialist programs of the government. We need to just let them go on there own. They are NOT a state and we do not need them.

Spain is very close to a collapse with over 25% unemployment. All 25% or more are living on the government money handouts. Italy is right there with Spain. If the two go it may take France with them.

I spent quite a bit of time in Spain. With the Basques and Catalonians wanting out, we may see Spain break up into several countries, if there debts overwhelm the central government. I believe the young people have an even higher number of unemployed.

Puerto Rico, is a different beast. I’m not sure what the laws are governing their financial problems. As I said before a lot of people with mutual funds will take a haircut if PR goes belly up.

This is real starting to sound like the financial genie is out of the bottle. If the countries around the world stop importing China’s crap they are in deep trouble. Their bubble is going to burst big time.

What worries me is that they may be all tempted to go to war to gloss over the economic problems.
