Disgusting and disappointing hypocrites, but this is how human nature is. Survive or die, and be prepared to be disheartened in the process…
Yeah, you simply can’t expect much. In my opinion, besides racial tensions, we should mostly look out for radical movements (in any direction, regardless left or right wing).
In problematic times you will see people becoming more and more radical so in the end they might not fight for a certain race but maybe for a certain political party or belief system like a religion.

During the great depression in the US , and before WW2 broke out , there was a very large faction in this country that saw how Hitler was turning Germany around , and wanted to start the American version of National Socialism ( Nazi’s ) to fix the problems of the time …………..of course , when we went to war with them , all those people melted back into the woodwork and shut up for their own good .May 18, 2014 at 4:39 pm #14203
Tolik, because you mention the Nazis. I have been watching “The Century of the Self” the whole day which is about how politicans and corporations learned to use propaganda just like the Nazis to manipulate the masses. The Nazi’s propaganda was the inspiration for the creation of the whole field of “public relations”.
I believe both major parties in the US will use public relations as much as possible to paint the others as the bad guys (just like political parties in every other country do of course). It will be just interesting to see how far they are willing to go.
At some point you get some small radical wings that don’t settle things by fighting with words. At that point it might be already too late to find unifying themes anymore. If those guys who manipulate the masses aren’t careful they open up a divide they can not control…

Actually lot of countries had its own “version” of Nazis in that time, and what is interesting it is getting more popularity in last few years.
As I mention already few times, it is easy to manipulate masses, and one of the starting point in that manipulation is proving them that they are somehow “better” then others, and then comes the story that others do not deserve to live there, then they are not deserving to live at all.
I have been trough that kind of propaganda, and trust me it is quite easy for some folks to buy that kind of stories, ant then comes chaos.

Selco this is very true. One of the few things that changes is simply what they call it. For example, first this process was called Communism. When people were killed and in poverty under Communism… it was changed to a much more friendly term: Socialism. Eventually, the Nazi regime and others naturally left a negative opinion of the word Socialism. Now, we have Progressivism. You DO want to make ‘progress,’ right?
It’s amazing. Call it something different every 30 years and people will buy it again.
