I don’t know about anyone else but it’s been a heck of a year.
Between the news, politics, and just everyday life, it’s time to take a step back and just focus on preps and living.
So, not going anywhere, just reducing my
digital footprint for a while.
See you in the shadows.
I agree. I am thinking, after 40 years of being a professional artist, of stepping back, focusing on preps and spending time with my husband. With an eye as to what the outcome of this crazy election will be. Neither one is my first choice, and Jezebel is definitely not even my last choice.
I understand burnout as well. It was largely why I retired at 60. Decades of working 50 – 60 hours a week and never being fully off duty had worn me out mentally and emotionally. The Blackberry was always with me and the laptop went on vacation with us. Throw in a couple very difficult personalities at work and I said I can’t do this anymore. Life is too short. I still do a little Per Diem work for them but that is more task oriented and usually stuff I can do from home on my own schedule.
