Eagle
I have no idea if it came with an upgraded trigger group out of the box or not. The trigger is definitely a mil spec style and feel, but I have put multiple thousands of rounds through military weapon systems so I guess you could say that I have been desensitized a bit. Most of my friends are also prior military and have the same snausage fingers that I have…..
For my pistols and hunting rifles I do tend to upgrade or modify those triggers, but my battle rifles don’t seem to get the same treatment.
I did find a great place to carry this in my Subaru: There is a flip up area in the back, above the spare tire that hides a foam storage organizer.

March 18, 2016 at 1:36 pm #47903I just did some research….. I guess all WASR 10 being imported come with a Tapco trigger group as part of the “10” parts needed to be legal.

March 18, 2016 at 9:36 pm #47910Thats because most of the WASR 10’s are imported by Century Arms , some of their Yugo AKs also have the same trigger .
March 19, 2016 at 4:13 pm #47912Have you tried shooting it out of the prone using those 40 round mags yet?
Seems a concern I remember was the bottom of the mags digging into the dirt when you’re trying to stay nice and low in the prone… something about “teeter-tottering”… best to find out these things now before it’s Run What You Brung time…
Congratulations on the purchase.

March 19, 2016 at 5:22 pm #47915Have to agree with that , I find that the 30’s on an AK are long enough , I have only two 30 round mags for my FAL , Its boarder line too much .
March 20, 2016 at 2:24 am #47921I agree that the 40s are too long. That was what I could find at the time. I figure I will get 5 more 30s and just keep the 40s in my pack.

April 5, 2016 at 6:17 am #48183I agree completely the wasr is a nice ak for the money. I bought one and all I did was strip the old finish off the wood and used dark walnut watco oil. It did come out darker and more subdued. Oh and it needed the knife. Got that off the net. Finding the right scope mount was a problem. So many to choose from. I gave up and decided an original Russian was probably the best. An ak that looks totally like an Ak. One small mod a new grip and a 10 round wwz hunting mag.
