Well it looks like round one the people have won with 52 senators and 238 House members joining in opposition to the ban on M855 “green tip” ammunition for the AR 15.

For now.March 10, 2015 at 8:03 pm #38637
Whirlibird, you are right, but how stupid can they be! Now everyone has time to stock up and the sales will go throw the roof. All good for the ammo business. O has been good for the gun business and ammo business like no other.March 10, 2015 at 8:29 pm #38638

After the revolution , we can have them put in a Gulag . Along with NSA , TSA , BLM , DEA , IRS .
They will be put to hard labor , fed 1 meal a day ( only if they meet their daily labor quota ) , brutal guards , unsanitary conditions , no medical care .March 11, 2015 at 12:44 am #38653
The consevative revolution has begun. I hear chanting frat boys buying pistols and alcohol.

Yes 330 points down. A little over 1% lose in the market. It will go up and down but this is a sign of what is coming.March 11, 2015 at 1:00 am #38669
Tolik, you forgot to include the EPA.
In a twisted sort of way, ‘Bams in his imperial arrogance and contempt towards the American people, he has served to ignite a renaissance of support for the 2nd Amendment in particular and the Constitution in general. That said, we should not assume this battle is won, let alone the war.March 11, 2015 at 1:07 am #38671

Regardless of “public opinion”, there ain’t no revolution on the horizon.
A bunch of middle aged white guys sitting around whining about the latest transgression but doing nothing about it, except waiting for the revolution to start is still doing nothing and changing nothing.
Ain’t enough willing to risk their lives, fortunes and sacred honor to do squat anymore. And even if they did, how many would join?
How many would just sit and wait to see how things shake out, and then breathe a collective sigh of relief when they didn’t have to actually risk anything.?
Even your “hacktivists” don’t really want change, then they’d have nothing to fight, no cause. Heck, they’re generally wrong just like the MSM. They were wrong about Ferguson, wrong about Madison, yet they continue, because they’re after the mayhem, the activism, rather than doing something right.
As to Zero being such a salesman, I remember Clinton in ’94, the same thing was said then about him.March 11, 2015 at 10:37 am #38681
Whirlibird thank you for your opinion of the glee club in washington. As long as they keep handing out the money nobody cares what the results are in flyover country. In fact most of the country is indifferent to all the hob being raised by Imperial presidente obama. We’ll keep buying our guns and they’ll keep spewing their excrement. Certainly not bunker hill but hardly laying down in the road to let the bull dozer crush us. If there were no aged white middle class guys working their butts off everyday it would be national suicide. The Moslem caliphate would take America. The liberal oligarchy has no values of its own.March 11, 2015 at 12:46 pm #38695
It is the whole country.
Go to a gun show and you’ll hear hundreds spouting off about how mad they are and what they’d do when the jackboots are down the street or at the door.
What you don’t hear or more importantly see, is those same guys actually doing something productive. They’re not willing to put forth their name on a petition, show their face at a rally, send a supporting email, but they will stand around hiking their belts up under the beer gut and complain that nothing is getting better.
Without some defining event, you’re not going to get the members of this board on the same page let alone the country.
Perhaps I’m a bit cynical, but it xomds from years of hearing and watching people wring their hands while wailing, “someone should do something”.
But when you ask why they aren’t doing something, they can’t for whatever reason, generally apathy.March 11, 2015 at 1:03 pm #38697
Whirli, most folks are afraid to sticking their necks out at this point and paying the price for doing so. You are right that without a defining event that crosses some undefined line, the masses of people are not going to take to the streets and begin civil disorder in any meaningful way. There is anger building but for now it is more of the armchair warrior variety.
