I have seen several mentions of alternative medicine here. I have friends and family that have used animal medicines when money was tight to treat an illness they had. Does anybody know or have a resource that gives a comparison or substitution of animal medicines for human medicines. Animals systems are much more sensative to dosage and quality than humans are and often times the animal medications are more pure and of higher quality than the human counter part. It is a lot easier to get your hands on animal meds without a prescription as well. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Here’s a good resource.

You can also find a lot of antibiotics for treating animals at farm supply stores. Also, don’t forget the de-wormer. If you end up in a bad sanitation situation, parasites will definitely be an issue.
