“Climate is what we expect. Weather is what we get” — Robert A. Heinlein

Humans have probably griped about the weather since they before had words to gripe with. But predicting global catastrophe, due to cumulative human action, is a fairly recent phenomenon, dating from the realization by governmental manipulators, that the average person is not only ignorant of the science of physical processes, but so innumerate as to make them manipulable.

Most people can’t fathom the difference between one large number, and another — between “millions” (as in human action) and quadrillions (as in the sun’s energy upon the earth). It’s all just “big numbers” to them. So when a bunch of grant-funded “scientists” tell them that their continued use of automobiles, electric appliances, and house heating is endangering their progeny, they have less understanding to refute the scam than the average computer user has to refute the “eventvwr” scam.

Some days, it’ll be hotter than people can remember it was a few years ago, or colder. People who stand to profit (monetarily and politically) will tell them that they must modify their behavior and pay more taxes to prevent some future climatic disaster, and they’ll buy it, just like they bought the “necessity” of all the profitable little made-up wars they’ve been obliged to fight, pay for, and eventually abandon, all over the globe, since the end of WWII.

Cry, "Treason!"
