My understanding has long been that the industrial age has been more an anomaly than it has been the long term norm, that normal is a colder climate than the current era. I remember sitting on the beach in Maine reading a book Ice Age back in the early to mid 80’s It was part of a Planet Earth series that Time Life published over a several year period. Without assigning a timeframe to it, it’s conclusion was that the future would be colder.

Of course last winter was the mildest anyone can recall and this summer was hotter than normal. Fortunately we’ve begun the transition from summer to fall this week and it is so much more pleasant. This is usually when it begins so that at least is normal.
