If I remember my ancient gun history, there are a few experts here on the HK93 with the collapsing steel stock, it has a sling designed for different positions. One of those is for climbing skiing etc. where two hands are needed. The 93 was slung on the side, muzzle up in the middle of the back. Nice sling and probably cheap surplus. The HK, quite a bit more if you can even find one. But I think they did make a 5-10 round mag. Not that I’ve ever heard of a biathlon .223. Maybe the Finns but that would be AK 7.62. lol
