Copper has been used for centuries , and still is for that purpose . Right now its very expensive , and stainless is cheaper for production , not necessarily better . Some of the older European distilleries are using copper . Copper does corrode , but it is also one of natures elements bacteria and other bugs dont like . Water stored in copper is safer long term than in steel , especially in area where sanitation is not the best . Any tubing will blow if too much pressure is applied , just make sure you get the right size tubing for the pressures .
