If you don’t mind TV and the associated bs, There is much to be gleaned from “Life Below Zero” on Discovery. The Hailstones go out for days to months hunting in pairs and taking the entire clan along.
Watching the episodes where they go out with just their boats/skidoos shows what they take along and what they use.
