The .30 Tok, is an interesting package.
The often steel jacketed bulets, moving at a fair velocity.
The combination of these tend to chew up things nicely.
Much like a .30 Carbine, it has a place.

What it chews up is soft armor, hard plates stop it nicely.
And there is a major difference between soft concealable armor and external armor/tac vests, levels of each are rated differently.

What it also does is punch, punch right through things, especially if bones are not hit. The .30 Mauser had this same penchant and it continued in the Tok.

History has shown the .30 Mauser and Tok to be grand wounders, multiple hits were generally required from handgun or subgun.
The lack of effect has been noted by many in different war zones.
