freedom, having worked in biomedical research, I know that contagious diseases need very little opportunity to infect a host. For example, although we were protected during operations, every time we removed our PPE we took the risk of exposing ourselves to disease if we were not meticulously careful in the manner in which we removed the gear.
I suspect that could have been the transmission vector for the nurse. She was protected while treating or examining the patient, but her PPE became a carrier of the disease so all she had to do is make one small error to expose herself to the ebola virus while removing the PPE. Not a good situation to be sure. It also demonstrates that the CDC and other governmental agencies lie to us as to the reality of disease transmission. We really do not know the truth about this virus as the government will certainly not tell us everything they know.
