I used to spend up to 6 – 7 hours on horseback. You wear jodhpurs (riding pants) and chaps (suede leggings) so that the stirrup leathers do not pinch your legs and for protection against thorn bush. With the tight pants, normal ‘undies’ tend to move upwards (giving you a wedgie) The correct size G-string is already up there, but being less material it is not uncomfortable. And it does not take up space in a BOB.
