I don’t purposely make lists and never write them down on account the lists are ever present in my head. Throw 10 things at me and the sequence to do them in so as to ensure all get done just comes to me without even thinking of it. While it may be a blessing to be super organized and task oriented, it is also a curse because it can interfere with living in the moment. I’ll sometimes push myself to exhaustion just to get something done that really didn’t have to get done that day, or I might miss an opportunity to do something fun or interesting that arises. Since I retired at the end of last year I have been trying to change this trait given the time pressures really aren’t there anymore. Its hard to teach old dogs new tricks though.
