Here is the latest from the Ebola front.

The West Point slum in Monrovia is not under quarantine anymore… because authorities said they are confident they can screen everyone… http://www.nytimes.com/2014/08/30/world/africa/quarantine-for-ebola-lifted-in-liberia-slum.html?_r=0

Want the best proof so far that this Ebola outbreak is much worse than any outbreak before because it is more contagious?

Check this out. Two days ago the most in depth study of the current outbreak was released. http://www.sciencemag.org/content/early/2014/08/27/science.1259657.full

It traces the origins of the outbreak and the genomics so researchers can better predict the spread and transmission dynamics. Nothing overly special BUT 5 co-authors of that study died from Ebola.

Thats an significant amount and we talk about virology professionals…

No surprise these countries run out of medical staff who wants to deal with the problem. This outbreak is way more contagious than officials want to admit.
